The Moon on the Floor

The Moon on the Floor

The moon on the floor

is all that moves.

It is

a lilting stream on

rocks gray as

death.

Then

with autumn and all

its trees leaning

in,

the moon is like a stone on the floor

swallowed by the

leaves.
